Cupid won’t be very far this February as the aptly named historic Valentines Mansion opens its doors for a year of celebration to mark their ten year anniversary, starting with its Made with Love Fair.
Following a short winter break the charming Grade II listed building, nestled in the heart of Valentines Park in Ilford, will be re-opening to the public again until October.
2019 marks a decade since the mansion was completely restored back to its former original glory, and opened up to the public for the first time as a free historic visitor attraction.
Once the former home of Oliver Cromwell’s niece Elizabeth Tillotson, the mansion now stands as a proud tribute to the past for visitors to enjoy.
The mansion will be hosting its first event of the year – Made with Love – on Sunday February 10, with doors opening at 10am.
Guests will have the opportunity to browse stalls from some of the UK’s finest traders of beautiful handmade arts, crafts, food and drink in the run-up to Valentine’s Day.
The perfect opportunity to buy something unique for the one you love, or simply spoil yourself!
The event runs until 4pm, and is free to attend. After snapping up the treats on offer, don’t forget to unwind and grab yourself a spot of lunch, or cream tea at the Gardeners Cottage Café, set on the Mansion’s stunning grounds.
