Starting on Sunday 22nd February, 11am-3pm, free family activities will return to Valentines Mansion. With a different theme every time, the Fun Day Sundays will be a great chance for families to spend time together in beautiful surroundings, enjoying free activities throughout the house.
The Fun Day Sunday season will start with Upstairs, Downstairs – a great chance for kids, parents and grandparents to enjoy exploring life as a Victorian servant, with dressing up and role play, books, games and lots of other exciting activities. You will also have the chance to meet our Victorian cook telling you all about how butter was made in Victorian times as well as all of our usual activities for children and families out on display around the Mansion.
Valentines Mansion is a Grade II* listed country house, with period furnished rooms and beautiful historic gardens just waiting to be explored. Step back in time and discover over 300 years of history, Valentines makes a great day out for the whole family.
For lunch, the Gardener’s Cottage Café is the perfect spot to spend time together as a family. With ample indoor and outdoor seating, the café opens at 10am every day and serves a range of healthy lunch options and tea time snacks. Situated in the Walled Kitchen Garden, the seating area is surrounded by a variety of herbs, fruits and vegetables grown at Valentines – a wonderful talking and learning point for kids.
